Dr. Noriko Kane-Goldsmith is an assistant research professor and manager of the Neuroscience Imaging Facility at the W. M. Keck Center for Collaborative Neuroscience at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. She obtained a Master’s degree from Nara National Women’s University and a Doctorate in cancer immunology from Wakayama Medical School in Japan. She was selected for a post-doctoral fellow position at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology, Rutgers the State University. She continued her post-doctoral studies in clinical immunology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York.

Following her post-doctoral training, she accepted a research specialist position at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School of New Jersey. During that time, she conducted research projects including studies on neuronal cell survival/apoptosis in response to DNA-damage and immunocytochemistry utilizing laser scanning confocal microscopy. In 2000, Dr. Kane-Goldsmith joined the W. M. Keck Center and contributed to establishing the Neuroscience Imaging Facility. Since 2007 she also has been co-manager of the Imaging Core Facility at the Human Genetics Institute of New Jersey at Rutgers University. Dr. Kane-Goldsmith has collaborated and consulted with numerous research scientists throughout the scientific community at Rutgers University.
