TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

The W. M. Keck Center for Collaborative Neuroscience offers two training workshops:

  • An intensive three-day workshop on spinal cord injury research methods is offered four times each year.  The workshop includes lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on experience in all facets of spinal cord injury research.  Featured is the MASCIS Impactor, a rat model of spinal cord contusion that has been adopted by over 100 of the world’s leading spinal cord research laboratories.  The workshop also includes training in anesthesia, locomotor scoring (BBB), animal care, and outcome measures. For detailed information and schedule, see brochure.

  • The new New Jersey Stem Cell Course is hosted by the Keck Center.  This course is supported by a grant from the New Jersey Commission on Science & Technology.  Details available on the Stem Cell Course web site.

To register for the SCI workshop, download the registration form and mail or fax to the address/number on the form.

The Center also offers a broad spectrum of on-site training ranging in length from one month to two years.  Please contact the W. M. Keck Center to inquire about post-doctoral fellowships, visiting scholars, and specialized experiences.
