In this talk, Dr. Colleen Berryessa will present some of her recent empirical work on how advances in neuroscience may practically and philosophically influence punishment in the criminal justice system, particularly focusing on how neuroscience and genetics research on behavior could bear on sentencing objectives, processes, and outcomes for defendants during the criminal-legal process.
